Postdoctoral Positions
Several postdoctoral opportunities in astronomy and astrophysics are available in Chile through national and institutional programs, including:

• FONDECYT Postdoctoral Fellowships (ANID, Chile): Annual call, typically open between April and June. Highly competitive and open to applicants worldwide.

• ANID+ESO-Chile Joint Postdoctoral Fellowship (ALMA-ANID, ESO Comité Mixto): Focused on fostering collaboration between Chilean institutions and the European Southern Observatory (ESO). 

• GEMINI-ANID Fellowship

• {OPEN!!!} Atracción de Talentos - UNAB (Deadline: January 15, 2026. Results: March 2026. Starting date: June 1, 2026).
  Requirements:
  - National or international PhD holders who obtained their doctoral degree between January 1, 2024, and March 30, 2026
  - Applicants must have the sponsorship of a tenured UNAB faculty member.
  - Applicants must have the institutional sponsorship of a UNAB Research Center or Institute
