Postdoctoral Positions
Several postdoctoral opportunities in astronomy and astrophysics are available in Chile through national and institutional programs, including:

• FONDECYT Postdoctoral Fellowships (ANID, Chile): Annual call, typically open between April and June. Highly competitive and open to applicants worldwide.

• ANID+ESO-Chile Joint Postdoctoral Fellowship (ALMA-ANID, ESO Comité Mixto): Focused on fostering collaboration between Chilean institutions and the European Southern Observatory (ESO). 

• GEMINI-ANID Fellowship

• Andrés Bello University (UNAB) has recently launched a new program aimed at early-career researchers who obtained their PhD within two years before the application deadline. The most recent call was in January 2025.
